Layout Update - May 2014 (Left Loop)

After buying 4 bags of "static" grass the left loop of my layout receives a new growth of green!

The 2 bridges on the horse shoe loop have undergone a transformation! not quite the 3D printed perfect scaled bridges I had hoped, but then i'm a patient man....

After some further work, I since added curtains underneath the layout. Helping to tidy up the overall look. The curtains unfortunately were old ones that were laying around, cut to fit.

I need to find a way of washing them now.. These 3 pictures are not HDR like the above pics in this post for comparison sake.

New Designs, NZ120 Road Services Coach & NZ120 47/6 FT Passenger Car (1902)

This weekend see's a few long term projects explode into life, the first being the New Zealand Road Services Coach. The plan I used was drawn up by Darryl Smith & reduced to nz120.

The second design being the NZR 47.5 FT Passenger Car (1902), the end railing would need to be scratch built, or maybe a brass etch could be organised?

The bogies will have to be done, and also the inside seating, the windows are very small however so will wait for a test print to decide how to proceed further.

R/C Mini Camera - First Person Shots

A recent purchase sees me in possession of a R/C Mini Camera perfect First Person Shots, the track gauge is 9MM for comparison sake. Small enough to sit on a wagon and not have any clearance issues. The resolution is pathetic "640 x 480", it does however have audio recording capabilities, internal battery which charges via the USB cable and also provides a way to transfer recorded files to PC.

total weight is 30g, making it very light.

Some video clips of my layouts taken with the camera, poor resolution and all...
